The Apple 360° Museum by Flipside Studios

Welcome to the Apple 360° Museum, the only Apple history site where you can not only see original product images by an Apple photographer, but can then virtually grab them, turn them, and explore them in detail as if they were right there with you!

About the Apple 360°s

I had the great fortune to be one of Apple’s “A-List” freelance product photographers for an uprecedented 24 years, shooting hundreds of projects for product packaging, posters, ads, and many of Steve Jobs’ iconic keynote presentations.

In 1996 Apple asked me to apply my product photography skills to help bring interactive 360° product spins to Apple.com, using a technology they had recently developed called QTVR (QuickTime Virtual Reality). I accepted the challenge and became one of the first studios - along with only 3 or 4 others around the world - to provide professional quality 360° product photography. For the next 12 years Flipside (known then as John Greenleigh Studios) produced 360° demos for every new Apple hardware product, to go live on Apple.com immediately after Steve Jobs announced them at one of his keynotes.

We have since been a leading provider of 360° product demos for many of the world’s leading companies including Nike, Google, Amazon, LG Mobile, and Google.

With this gallery, I am pleased to finally showcase a selection of 360°s that are recreations of the original QTVR spins using current technology.

More samples will be added, so follow Flipside on Instagram and Twitter for announcements about new content, as well as other projects and events.

So go ahead and click on any product below. I hope you enjoy the experience!
